The best ways to increase your sales?





Many of my new clients start by asking me what the best ways are to increase their sales. I would do the same if I was on the other side of the table.

There is nothing wrong with gathering information about the most important thing for your career – improving the health of your company.

I have been talking to Christian Dillstrom, a very experienced growth hacker; why not ask him the same question? After all, his only job is to help businesses increase their sales.

So here we go:



WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO INCREASE THE SALES OF A BUSINESS?
Low-cost awareness marketing. The number of important people that know about your business, what you offer and why you are unique, is directly correlated to how many sales you will make.

The cost of sales without low-cost awareness marketing is always too high to generate fast growth. However, most companies try to grow fast, so unless your company joins in, your company will be pushed out.


WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR YOUR OWN CLIENTS?
LinkedIn article marketing. LinkedIn has 467 million users that are business professionals and 50% of them are decision makers in their companies. In addition, all LinkedIn users together earn more than all non-users together.

Also, a LinkedIn article has no length limit, it can contain videos, diagrams, images and even hyperlinks anywhere in the text. Hyperlinks can be used to share your sales materials to thousands of new potential customers or they can be used to connect a potential customer to your sales people via call or chat.

Of course, it helps that I can make sure any article
will receive at least 2.5 million business readers.


WHAT IS THE NEXT BEST THING TO INCREASE THE SALES OF A BUSINESS?
Doing email marketing through your customer database. You have a business relationship with your customer, or at least you used to have one. Your customer knows you and you know your customer.

As a matter of fact, you probably have
quite a bit of information about your customer.

1.    What is the sales history of the customer?
2.    How repetitive are the purchases the customer makes?
3.    Why does the customer buy what he buys?
4.    Why does the customer buy when he buys?
5.    Etc. Etc.

Use questions to group customers into email campaigns, and then come up with offers for each campaign. I have learned that even if a company does email campaigns, there are always new campaign opportunities to be found.

Of course, do not send emails to the same customer
too often and always come up with fitting offers.
