Many
of my new clients start by asking me what the best ways are to
increase their sales. I would do the same if I were on the other side
of the table.
There
is nothing wrong with gathering information about the most important
thing for your career – improving the health of your company.
I
have been talking to a very experienced growth hacker; why not ask
him the same question? His only job is to help businesses
increase their sales.
"So
here we go:"
WHAT
IS THE BEST WAY TO INCREASE THE SALES OF A BUSINESS?
Low-cost
awareness marketing. The number of important people that know about
your business, what you offer and why you are unique, is directly
correlated to how many sales you will make.
The
cost of sales without low-cost awareness marketing is always too high
to generate rapid growth. However, most companies try to grow fast,
so unless your company joins in, your company will be pushed out.
WHAT
DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR YOUR OWN CLIENTS?
Influencer
marketing. Business influencers have millions of followers, and their
involvement will both make a message of your business credible, and
they can also multiply the sales of your business very quickly.
There
is a cost involved, but it is cheaper than reaching the same number
of sales with any other way. Some business influencers are so
effective that they co-operate with commission-only deals.
For
example, I am a business influencer. I write a blog about growth
hacking, and it has received 15-31 million monthly business readers
from 240 countries in the last four years. That makes me the most
read business article author in the World.

partner with businesses on the commission-only basis.”
There
are also other business influencers around and all of them are
on LinkedIn. There are industry specific, national, and international
ones to choose from.
WHAT
IS THE NEXT BEST THING TO INCREASE THE SALES OF A BUSINESS?
Doing
email marketing through your customer database. You have a business
relationship with your customer, or at least you used to have one.
Your customer knows you and you know your customer. In fact, you have quite a bit of information about your
customer.
”What
is the sales history of the customer?
How
repetitive are the purchases the customer makes?
Why
does the customer buy what he buys?
Why
does the customer buy when he buys?
Etc.”
Use
these and other relevant questions to group customers into email
campaigns, and then produce offers for each campaign. I have
learned that even if a company does email campaigns, there are always
new campaign opportunities to be found.
Of
course, do not send emails to the same customer too often and always
produce fitting offers.

OTHER
GOOD WAYS TO INCREASE THE SALES OF A BUSINESS?
Sales
conversion improvement of the web or eCommerce sites. There is no
limit on how much the sales conversion can be improved.
The
growth opportunities in the online world are limitless; while in the
offline store, you could increase your sales by 10%, the online
store could increase its sales up to 100% or even more if you know
what you do.
Also,
connecting marketing and sales in real-time is a great way to avoid
losing hot sales.
